SINGAPORE 27 March 2008: Popular online accommodation website, Wotif.com announced Singapore as the top city, and Thailand as the top region in their top Asian destinations for 2007*.
Top Asian cities 2007 Year-round demand from business and leisure travellers saw both Singapore and Hong Kong in high demand throughout 2007 taking the top two spots in the list of cities booked through Wotif.com for the year. Director of Business Development and Marketing in Asia, Rita Goh said: "Singapore and Hong Kong are key Asian destinations where we have a great range of properties, so it's not surprising to see them take the top positions for 2007. "Increased marketing efforts have ensured more Asian travellers look to Wotif.com to book accommodation in Asia, and with popular destinations like Bangkok and Kuala Lumpur not far behind on the list, competition for the top spots in next years list will be tough," she added. Other movers on the list were Kuala Lumpur and Bali, which both moved up a spot from last year, and Ho Chi Minh City, which made it into the list of top cities for the first time.
