BANGKOK, 22 April 2009: Home to spectacular golf courses and resorts, Asia has many popular golf holiday destinations, but Thailand is number one with golfers according to a 2009 survey carried out by accommodation website, Wotif.com.
Wotif.com Product Director Yusuf IJsseldijk said, “There are hundreds of amazing greens in breathtaking Asian destinations that offer golf aficionados a golfing experience to be remembered. “It’s not surprising Thailand is the most popular, considering the great range of value accommodation properties and myriad of other activities to make a holiday one that even the non-golfers in the family can enjoy,” he added. As the survey results showed, Thailand was the top destination in terms of being favourite, value for money and the place golfers want to visit next. Favourite golfing destinations 1. Thailand 2.
